For almost twenty years Simona has been living between Estoril and Rome.

Since 2013 her atelier-lab is based into the Linhó Prison in Sintra, where she works, designs, experiments, and produces lamps, tables and illuminated sculptures. 

397 is actually Simona’s code to access the penitentiary, there, along with Flavio and Romeo Miczick, two skilled young inmates from Romania, she is actively engaged in wrapping light with unconventional and slightly irreverent clothes.
